About the event:

It can be hard to know which type of job is the right fit, even if you know the field you want to be in. Some folks take a direct path, others wind their way into something they love. This interactive chat is intended to share examples of different careers within the field of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and help students feel confident that there's a place for them, no matter their area of interest of expertise. At the end of the talk, scholarships, internships, and other student-centered opportunities will be discussed.

About the Speaker:

Molly Brady is the Education and Professional Development Manager for the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF). She joined USGIF in 2021 after completing her graduate degree in public policy from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. There, she oversees the foundation's scholarship and continuing education programs and supports the accreditation of collegiate degrees and certificates. Molly has over a decade of experience working for educational nonprofits both at the local and national level. She has applied her experience to a variety of initiatives including publishing an updated Essential Body of Knowledge for geospatial intelligence, a guiding document for the development of geospatial curricula in higher education and the creation of a multi-year endeavor to enhance access to geospatial resources and education for underrepresented student (K12) populations through nonprofit partnerships and collaboration across states. Molly holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and currently lives in South St. Louis City with her husband and dog, Ruby.
