The first one is on March 11 from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Zoom and will teach students how to manage their finances while abroad. The second session will be on April 8 from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in person and will give students tips and tricks on how to adjust to their host university. UMSL Study Abroad is committed to helping you prepare for your upcoming study abroad experience, which is why we are implementing the new Global Guide Series! Over the spring semester, the Global Guide series will cover various abroad topics, with the goal of helping you feel ready to go global!

In each session, you will hear from past study abroad students as they share their experiences on the featured topic. Make sure to join us for each of the following session!

Session 1:
Topic - Managing Your Finances While Abroad
Date and Time - Wednesday, March 11th from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM via Zoom
Description - This session will cover everything you should consider when budgeting for your study abroad experience. Join us to hear budgeting tips and tricks from past study abroad students!

Session 2:
Topic - Adjusting to Your Host University
Date and Time - Wednesday, April 8th from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in person (location TBD)
Description - Are you wondering how your host university abroad may differ from UMSL? Join us for an informative session where past study abroad participants will share how a host university may do things differently from UMSL and how to adjust to these changes.

Session 3:
Topic - Managing Your Expectations While Abroad
Date and Time - Wednesday, May 6th from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in person (location TBD)
Description - Your study abroad experience can be full of so many highs, but that also means maybe some lows too. Join us to hear how past study abroad participants have handled the ups and downs and made the most of their experience.
