The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the student chapter of Youth Mappers, will host a special guest lecture with representatives from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Community Relations and Media Lead Rebecca Courtney will provide an overview of the NGA's history and mission. This is a great event for anyone who is interested in learning more about the opportunities to turn their passion for mapping into a fulfilling career.

Bio: Ms. Rebecca Courtney is the Community Relations and Media Lead for the Office of Corporate Communication-West at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA). Rebecca is a life long Missouri resident and attended University of Missouri-Columbia, where she learned she received an offer from NGA when she graduated in 2010. Ms. Courtney has held various positions throughout her career at NGA but loves getting to interact with the community, industry partners and academia the most, doing what she does now. Rebecca currently resides in Ballwin, MO with her husband and their two children.
