MLK Scholarship Guidelines. Flyer for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Application
In recognition of Dr. King’s legacy of scholarship, service, and nonviolent leadership, the University of Missouri–St. Louis awards the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship to a student who embodies academic excellence and dedication to community service.

Scholarship applications are due no later than Friday, October 24, 2025. The recipient will receive $1,000 and will be honored at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Observance on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Currently enrolled undergraduate student (Note. Previous winners are ineligible).
• Demonstrated commitment to community service.
• Essay based on this year’s theme – The Purpose of Education
• Participation in the annual celebration.
