The Student Activity Budget Committee (SABC) is intended to provide support for Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) at UMSL for opportunities to which they might not otherwise have access. SABC's purpose is to provide partial financial support to RSOs so they can host events, participate in professional and team development activities, and assist with common operating expenses associated with student organizations. While SABC provides this assistance to RSOs with their activities and expenses, student organizations are encouraged to seek other sources of support in order to be financially self-sufficient. RSOs should never rely solely on SABC funding to cover 100% of their expenses. The purpose of SABC funding is to support and encourage RSOs as they contribute to the student experience at UMSL.

Every year, we conduct a large number of open events, like, panels with leading academics, movie discussions, Eudaimonia Hours (a weekly social gathering), an internationally attended graduate conference, and more, with the purpose of stimulating debate on philosophers, philosophical concepts, ideas, and arguments. Furthermore, every semester, we hold a series of speeches, called the Big Question Series, by both professional philosophers and graduate students, where they will present "works in progress." The subject varies from season to season.

Small classes (14 students on average) allow students to learn by active questioning and conversation. University Program Board (UPB) is THE student programming board on UMSL's campus - if it's fun, we've done it. We host dozen of events on campus each semester, from educational programs to the just-for-fun events during Mirthweek.

UTV is UMSL's award-winning student television studio and video production team. We strive to provide an outlet for students to express themselves freely and gain practical hands-on experience with the video production process. Join us as we produce student-written, directed, filmed, and edited programs which spotlight organizations and departments across campus! All majors are welcome and no experience is required!

UTV also hosts a social educational event series called the "UTV Presents: Video Nights" where we celebrate film, genre, and all the techniques which go into the shows and movies we love.

Join us for our weekly open TV studio tours every Saturday from 12pm-4pm in our home of Lucas Hall 103. All majors and disciplines are welcome to explore this world of film with us!

Zeta Tau Alpha was created to make a difference in the lives of our members by developing the potential of each individual. Our goal is to connect members through a close bond of sisterhood and to build up a purer and nobler womanhood in the world.
